CONVOY is an innovative e-bike trailer that turns any regular adult bicycle into a powerful electric cargo bike — launching Summer 2026. Founded in 2023 by engineers and new parents Jon O'Toole (ex-Dyson), Josh Richards (ex-SharkNinja) and commercial strategist Tat Escobar-Peake, CONVOY was born out of a simple realisation: traditional cargo bikes are too bulky and expensive, while standard trailers require too much effort. The solution: an award-winning electric trailer with a 250W motor that carries up to 50 kg — including two children (approx. ages 2–7) — and attaches to any bike in seconds without tools.
The product range includes the CONVOY e-Trailer (for regular bikes, launching Summer '26), the CONVOY Trailer (for e-bikes, launching Spring '27), and accessories such as Mega-Hauler Panniers, FlexDeck Kids Carrier, DualBike Setup Kit and WeatherShield. CONVOY's patent-pending Mirror™ Active Steering technology — adapted from proven automotive systems — ensures the trailer tracks in perfect sync with the bike through every turn, eliminating the wobble common with traditional trailers.
